Update for June Writing

I'm finding my progress is going well. Even though I have to spend some time at the day job getting the last of my computers cleaned up, I have been able to get some work done on at least one of my projects.

Here's my newest update:

A Neighbor's Ultimatum:
Started 6/14 at : 10,502
End on 6/18 at: 19,915

got 3,201 on 6/15 and 6,212 yesterday!!

let's just hope I can keep up the progress!

Writing Update

Well, I have been able to get some work done.

I decided to list the latest word counts for my stories here.

Here you go:

Beginning on Monday, June 8th my time-travel vampire story (At the Claiming Moon) was at 6,112 words; my latest Diablo Blanco Club story (Mike Halsey and Lyssa Lawrence's romance) Midnight Masquerade was being edited and was at 41,691 words; last in the group I'm currently working on is a m/m/f novella A Neighbor's Ultimatum, which was at 8,251 words.

Friday word counts were:
At the Claiming Moon: 6,325 (gained 213 words)
DBC: Midnight Masquerade: 43,998 (gained 2, 307 words)
A Neighbor's Ultimatum: 10, 502 (gained 2, 251 words)

Making a grand total, last week of: 4,771 words or approximately 19 pages

Since my focus this week is on A Neighbor's Ultimatum I'm happy to report, today I was able to take the story from:
10, 502 words to 13, 703 (gained 3, 201 words)

My goal with ANU (A Neighbor's Ultimatum) is to reach 25,000 words by the end of the week. Just 12, 000 words more to go, and completely doable if I can continue at the pace I began today.

Yay me!

(I know, boring blog post, but hey, I have to be proud of making an effort to get more books out there for the readers!)

Hope all of you have a great day!

Setting Goals

Summer vacation is about to begin, but there won't be any time off for my writing. At last count I have a novella that needs 20,000 more words added to it; another novella that needs 40 pages of it removed and the beginning rewritten; a third novella that needs about 15-20,000 words added to it; and at least 3 novels outlined.

Can you tell I over schedule myself? Heck, if I'm not overcommitting , then I never know what to do with myself during the summer. In fact, last year was the first time I actually took the summer off. I think it was the greatest thing I could have ever done for myself. Kinda scary that I haven't actually thought about how to take care of myself until my first book sold in 2007.

This summer I'm hoping to get more stuff done this summer. Even more important about this summer, I've joined up with a bunch of great authors to challenge each other to keep a steady production of pages for projects.

So, I'm here to list some of the books I'm working on and the word count. I'm hoping to make a daily update, but I'm more likely to update weekly. (I know me, I'm a bad, BAD, procrastinator)

Here's the list:
Diablo Blanco Club: Midnight Masquerade (rewrite first 40 pages)
A Neighbor's Ultimatum (needs approximately 20,000 words)
Diablo Blanco Club: (TBD) --Jodi and Case's story
At the Claiming Moon -- 6,215 words (needs approximately 20,000 words)

There's some more, but I figured that's enough for now.

Hope you all have a great day, I'll try to get some other character interviews set up soon.
